For marathon directors

Same-day photos for every finisher.

The legacy marathon photo vendor is expensive, bib-only, and slow. PodiumBase puts pro photographers on your course and lets runners find every shot of themselves by selfie or bib — live the same day they race.

The middle option

Podiumbase

Pay per pro, or rep-only $0
  • Runners found by selfie or bib — both work
  • Galleries live the same day, not days later
  • You stay in the loop on coverage and sales
How it works

Three steps to race-day photos.

01

Athletes find by selfie

One selfie, no bib. Athletes find every photo of themselves in seconds — across every leg, station, or heat.

02

Photos go live race day

Pros upload as they shoot. Matched galleries are live within hours of the finish, not weeks later.

03

You pay nothing to start

Post a bounty zone with a floor, or run rep-only at $0. Stay in the loop on coverage and sales the whole way.

The marathon difference

A turned-away bib is not a lost photo.

On a long road course a bib gets tucked under a jacket, twisted, or rain-soaked — and a bib-only vendor simply misses that runner. PodiumBase matches runners by face, with bib and timing-window signals as fallbacks, so every finisher lands in their own gallery.

Two more ways in

For your athletes, and the pros who shoot them.

For athletes

Find your photos.

Athletes enroll one selfie and get every photo of themselves from your event — swim to finish, station to line — yours to buy and share.

For photographers

Shoot marathon races.

Get paid to shoot the marathon events already happening in your city — a guaranteed floor when you cover a zone, plus your share of photo sales.

Questions

Before you add your event.

My runner’s bib was covered by a jacket. Can they still find their photos?
Yes. Matching uses facial geometry first and layers bib and timing-window signals as fallbacks, so a tucked, twisted, or rain-soaked number doesn’t lose the runner the way a bib-only vendor would.
How fast are galleries live after the race?
Photographers upload as they shoot, so matched galleries are live within hours of the finish — the same day runners race, not the following week.
We run a half, 10k, and 5k on the same day. Can you cover all of them?
Yes. You post a bounty zone per course or segment and pros opt into the ones they can shoot. Every photo flows into one event, matched to the right runner regardless of which distance they ran.
What does it cost me?
You set a guaranteed floor per bounty zone and pay only the gap after photo sales — or run rep-only at $0 and pros earn from sales alone. No retainer either way.
How do runners actually find their photos?
A runner enrolls one selfie, or enters their bib number, and we surface every photo of them from your event — start to finish — theirs to buy and share.
