For race directors

Take registrations on PodiumBase. Keep the system you have if you prefer.

Run registration here for $1 + 5% per entry, never more than $16, paid into your own Stripe account with you as the merchant of record. Around it: a sponsor-ready gallery, photo discovery, race-day check-in, reporting, and athlete follow-up. Nothing has to move at once, and the page itself is free.

Heard before

You do not have to change anything to try this.

We already give photos away for free.

You can keep giving photos away. PodiumBase adds the searchable gallery, sponsor placement, athlete follow-up, and event reporting around it. The gallery earns its place even when you never sell a photo.

We already use another registration platform.

Keep it. The event page, gallery, check-in, and reporting all work without moving registration. Native registration is optional, later, if the numbers convince you.

We do not want to migrate before seeing results.

You do not migrate anything. Activate one event and judge the results per event: gallery traffic, athlete matches, transactions, check-in throughput.

We do not have time for another setup project.

Activation is concierge. You give us the event details, we configure the page, gallery, sponsor treatment, and athlete path, and you review everything before launch.

The money argument

Take the entry. Keep them coming back.

Registration

Take entries on the same page that carries your results, photos, and sponsors. Copy last year’s event and open registration in minutes, or keep your current provider and add the rest around it.

Photos bring athletes back

Every finisher gets a page worth returning to: they find themselves by bib or selfie, share the shot, and land back on your event. Spectators and your own crew can add photos through a link, so coverage is not limited to a hired photographer. The mobile app adds live tracking so supporters follow athletes on the course and arrive at the same page.

  • Who can shootYour crew, marketplace photographers, and spectators via an upload link
  • How athletes find themselvesBib search or selfie match
  • Live trackingIn the mobile app: supporters follow athletes on course

Sponsor inventory

You sell sponsor packages; PodiumBase builds the inventory they buy. Shared previews and free downloads carry the sponsor mark with them.

Photographer hiring

Most events pay nothing: photographers shoot for their share of sales. Fund a guaranteed assignment only when a zone has to be covered.

  • Your own crewNo charge, ever
  • Marketplace shootersNo charge; they earn their share of sales
  • Funded assignmentArranged with us: you cover the gap to the guarantee, plus 10% of that gap

How it works

What already exists

Your race is not starting from an empty page.

PodiumBase already runs a public race corpus that athletes search. Activating your event puts it inside that, with a permanent indexed page, from day one.

71,000+
Public race pages

Indexed and searchable today. Your event gets one, free, whether or not a single photo ever sells.

3.3M
Race results indexed

The finish histories athletes already search. A result that matches your roster connects an athlete to your gallery.

5
Languages

Event, gallery, and athlete pages render in English, Spanish, Portuguese, German, and French.

These are corpus counts, not customer counts, and not a photo-sales claim. We would rather show you a number we can prove than one that flatters us.

Questions

Asked by operators.

Do we need to change registration providers?
No. External mode leaves registration with your current provider. The event page, gallery, check-in, and reporting all work around it.
Can we give photos away for free?
Yes. Free galleries run on PodiumBase, with sponsor watermarking, finish-time overlays where results are available, and athlete search on top.
Can sponsors appear on the gallery or watermark?
Yes. We can apply sponsor watermarks to previews and free downloads, place the sponsor on the gallery and event page, and structure tiered packages during activation. Purchased photos are delivered clean.
Can athletes buy photos?
Yes. Athletes find their shots by bib search or selfie and buy the ones they want, and you earn 20% of every sale.
Can PodiumBase handle registration?
Yes, when you choose it. Native checkout runs at $1 + 5% per entry, with coupons, add-ons, donations, and merchandise in the same cart. You choose whether the runner pays the platform fee or you absorb it. It is optional.
What does setup require?
It is concierge. You provide event and organizer details; we configure the page, gallery, sponsor treatment, and athlete path; you review everything before launch.
Can I create my event without waiting for a response?
Yes. Submit the activation form, create or sign in to your organizer account, choose an organization, and open the new-event form. Our team can help with activation, but a response is not required before you start.
What does the first event cost?
No listing fee and no setup fee. We talk through the revenue model in the activation conversation.
What happens after the first event?
We review the numbers together: gallery traffic, athlete matches, transactions, check-in results. Then you expand, stay as is, or stop.

Still deciding? Activate one event and judge it on your own race.
