What is PodiumBase?
PodiumBase helps athletes discover races and club activities, register for supported events, and find published race photos. Organizers can use native registration or keep their existing provider, manage rosters and check-in, coordinate photographers, and offer sponsor packages. Clubs have public pages and supported RSVP and commerce tools. Availability depends on the event, account, and product.
How do I find my race photos?
Find your race in the PodiumBase catalog and use the search options offered on its photo page. Where event, account, consent, age, and jurisdiction gates allow it, a consented selfie may return likely eligible published matches; bib search availability also varies. Missed and false matches are possible.
Is my selfie and face data safe?
The selfie image is deleted within 60 seconds. Event-page and eligible cross-event one-time searches do not retain its derived face signature; where limited-release enrollment is available, it can store a derived signature under active consent for supported future matching until you withdraw consent or request deletion. Consent and audit records may remain. We never sell or rent biometric data.
How much does it cost?
Finding your photos is free; you only pay if you buy one, as a one-time license with no subscription. A single photo is $14.99 from a Pro photographer or $3.99 from a Community photographer.
How do race organizers and photographers use PodiumBase?
Race organizers can recruit photographers for sales-based work or arrange a guaranteed minimum with PodiumBase during activation. On funded assignments, the photographer’s eligible photo-sale earnings count toward that minimum. The organizer funds any remaining shortfall plus a 10% booking fee on that shortfall; settlement is coordinated with PodiumBase. Separately, race organizers earn a 20% revenue share on eligible digital photo and bundle sales. Athletes can find their eligible published matches in the gallery.

Payment processing
All payments on PodiumBase are processed by Stripe, Inc. Standard Stripe payment processing fees apply and are deducted by Stripe before the Stripe Connect distribution to the photographer and the Platform. Stripe’s terms govern the payment-processing relationship; see Section 7 of the Terms of Service for the cross-reference.
Photographer payouts
Photographers are paid out via Stripe Connect on Stripe’s standard payout schedule, typically T+2 business days for active accounts in good standing, though Stripe’s schedule governs the exact timing. Before any payouts can be issued, photographers must complete Stripe Connect onboarding, including identity verification and connecting a bank account, directly with Stripe. PodiumBase does not hold photographer funds; Stripe does, per Stripe’s Connected Account Agreement.
Taxes
Prices displayed to buyers include applicable sales tax or VAT where PodiumBase is required to collect under the buyer’s jurisdiction tax law. Where collection is required, the tax amount is itemized at checkout. Photographers are responsible for income reporting and any associated income, self-employment, or business taxes in their own jurisdiction.
Refunds
Refunds are governed by the Refund Policy. In summary: submit a photo refund request from your receipt within 30 days of purchase. Requests within 14 days receive standard review; requests after day 14 and within day 30 may be reviewed at our discretion. A request is not an issued refund. After a card refund is approved and issued, issuers typically post it within 5-10 business days. Actual timing depends on the issuer and can vary; this is an estimate, not a guarantee. Purchases are also subject to the Terms of Service. The Refund Policy is authoritative; the summary here is informational.
Currency
All transactions on PodiumBase are denominated in U.S. dollars (USD) at launch. Buyers outside the U.S. will see their card issuer’s standard foreign-transaction fees and exchange rate applied at the time of charge; those fees are not assessed by PodiumBase. Multi-currency support is planned for a post-launch release.
