Race reviews · effective July 30, 2026
First-hand experience. Fair rules.
Who may review
Reviews are limited to signed-in participants who identify the result they are reviewing. A private event-roster email match or verified Runner Passport finish verifies participation.
A public listing-result self-claim does not verify that the account owner is the finisher. Those reviews are labeled “Public result self-claim,” never receive the verified-finisher label, and always require a human publication decision. Minors and runners who opted out of public result display cannot publish reviews.
Publication and attribution
Every review enters a moderation window. Event and Runner Passport reviews may publish after that window unless held. Listing-result reviews never publish automatically.
Published reviews display the rating, text, author name captured at publication, date, and the applicable verification or self-claim label. Authors may withdraw their own reviews.
What does not get published
- Unsupported factual claims about a named person or business
- Personal attacks, slurs, harassment, or threats
- Another person’s private or identifying information
- Crime or fraud allegations without escalation and review
- Commercial spam, promotional links, or content about another race
Negative reviews are allowed. Criticism of price, organization, course quality, or another part of the reviewer’s own experience is not removable merely because it is commercially inconvenient.
Reports and replies
Signed-in users may report a published review. We target a decision within five business days. Authorized organizers may submit one attributed, pre-moderated reply per review; the original review is not edited.
An author whose review is removed may contest it once. The final platform decision either upholds or reverses the removal.
