About the race
The race.
Downingtown Good Neighbor Day on July 4, 2026, features the Run for Life event with 5K, 10K, and 15K races plus a 5K Freedom Walk, all benefiting emergency services in the Downingtown Area School District. Race distances start at 8:00 AM from Kerr Park, with a Kids Fun Run at 10:00 AM. All registered runners receive a commemorative 250th medal and a Downingtown Good Neighbor Day t-shirt; first through third place finishers in each age group (7 and under through 80+) earn additional medals, and the top male and female overall runners receive $100. Packet pickup occurs at the Kerr Park Gazebo on July 3rd from 10 AM to 7 PM and July 4th from 6 AM to 7:50 AM. The all-day community event includes craft exhibitors and activities, concluding with a fireworks display at dusk.
