How to set up a run club on PodiumBase
Creating your club, adding members, earning from referrals, and getting paid.
How do I create a club?
Create it from the clubs area and give it a name, a location, and a short description. Your club gets a public page in the directory straight away, which is how runners find and join you.
You do not need to be a race organizer or run a business. Most clubs on PodiumBase are ordinary groups that meet to run.
How do I get my members on?
Two ways, and most clubs use both. Invite people directly by email, and share your club page so members can request to join themselves. You decide whether joining is open or needs approval, and you can change that later in your club settings.
Your roster shows who is in, who is pending, and lets you approve or remove members.
How does a club earn money?
Through referral codes. Your club gets its own code, and when someone registers for a race using it, your club earns a share of that entry. Members share the code; the club collects.
To receive money you connect a payout account, the same way race organizers and photographers do. Until that is connected, earnings accrue but cannot be paid out. Your earnings view shows what has been earned and what has been paid.
Can I highlight races to my members?
Yes. You can curate races onto your club page, so members see what the club is targeting next rather than searching the whole directory themselves. Featured races appear at the top of your club page.
Do club members get their photos free?
No, not by virtue of being in a club. Photo pricing is set per race by the organizer, and club membership does not change it. What a club can change is entry cost, through referral codes and any deal it arranges with an organizer.
