Invite terms
Last revised
There are two ways to bring people to PodiumBase: the creator ambassador program, under its own terms, and personal invites, which can earn a reward under section 2.
1. Two different things
The creator ambassador program is for racers and creators PodiumBase has approved. Ambassadors get a personal code and share link, and rewards apply only under the ambassador program terms, which set out what is rewarded, how attribution works and when rewards are paid.
Personal invites use the personal invite link every account has. They can earn the person who sends them a reward, only as set out in section 2. Rewards from the two programs never stack on the same purchase. Referral arrangements for clubs and race organizers are separate and are governed by their own agreements.
2. Personal invite rewards
Every PodiumBase account has a personal invite link. When someone you invite makes a qualifying first purchase, you may earn a reward under this section. Rewards are paid only as money through Stripe, never as PodiumBase credit.
- What qualifies. The invited person’s first photo purchase, first race entry paid through PodiumBase, and first paid club membership on PodiumBase. Each counts once per person. Renewals, upgrades and later purchases do not qualify.
- Attribution. The person must open your link no more than 30 days before the purchase. The first invite link they open is the one that counts, and only one person can earn a reward for a purchase.
- How much. 20% of what PodiumBase keeps from the qualifying purchase, after taxes, discounts, refunds, amounts paid to photographers, race organizers and clubs, and PodiumBase’s share of payment processing fees. It is not 20% of the price paid, and it can be zero.
- What does not qualify. Purchases by you, by someone who shares a club household membership with you, or with a payment method you also use; purchases for a race or club you organize or manage; purchases that already use another code, ambassador link or program; free, complimentary, transferred, deferred or organizer-entered entries; and anything that breaks section 5.
- Pending period. A reward stays pending for 30 days after the purchase. For a race entry it stays pending until 7 days after the race’s refund or deferral deadline, if that is later. A refund reduces or cancels the reward, and a payment dispute puts it on hold until the dispute is resolved. If a purchase is refunded after you were paid, the amount is deducted from your future rewards. PodiumBase will not ask you to pay it back.
- Payouts. You must be 18 or older and have a Stripe connected account, and Stripe may ask for identity and tax information before it pays out. Payouts are made once a month when your payable balance is at least $25. A smaller balance carries over to the next month and is never forfeited for being small.
- Taxes. You are responsible for any taxes on your rewards. Stripe may issue tax forms.
- Holds and appeals. PodiumBase may hold or withhold a reward while it reviews it under section 5, and will email you the reason category. You can ask for a review through the contact page within 30 days of that email. We will decide within 14 days, and where possible someone other than the person who placed the hold will decide.
- Privacy. Your account shows totals only. It never shows who made a purchase or what they bought.
- If this program ends. PodiumBase may end or change personal invite rewards by updating this page. Purchases made before the change keep the terms in effect when they were made.
3. The creator ambassador program
- Joining requires an application. Every application is reviewed, and PodiumBase decides who is approved.
- Your code is personal and non-transferable.
- Rewards, attribution and payout rules are only those in the ambassador program terms.
- Rewards are paid only through Stripe to a connected account, never as PodiumBase credit. Stripe may ask for identity and tax information before it pays out, and you are responsible for your own taxes.
- Where an ambassador code comes with a free photo offer for followers, that offer is a promotion from PodiumBase. It is not a sale and earns no reward.
4. Disclose the relationship
If you are an ambassador, say so whenever you share your code. If you share your personal invite link anywhere public, say that you may earn a reward. Follow FTC guidance and the rules of the platform you post on.
5. Fair play
Self-referral, fake accounts, purchases arranged to trigger a reward, paid placement of a code and spam are not allowed. PodiumBase may withhold or reverse rewards that come from them, may remove an ambassador from the program and may turn off rewards for a personal invite link. If you think we got it wrong, contact us through the contact page and we will review it.
6. Privacy
Only invite people you have a reason to contact, and do not share anyone’s personal information without their permission. How PodiumBase handles data is described in the Privacy Policy.
7. Changes
PodiumBase may change these terms. The revision date at the top of this page shows when they last changed. These terms sit alongside the Terms of Service.
