The 1.2 Mile Bay Swim takes place on July 11, 2026, in Avalon, NJ, organized by Tim Kerr Charities. Participants can choose between a 1.2-mile or 2-mile swim starting from the 5th Avenue Public Dock at 20th Street. Packet pickup occurs at Surfside Park (2901 Avalon Avenue) from 5:30–7:10 a.m. on race morning, with shuttles departing every 10 minutes beginning at 5:45 a.m. Finishers receive a swim cap, chip timing, a finisher's towel, and a Live and Tell hoodie available in limited sizes on a first-come, first-served basis. This swim serves as training for the Cedar Island 5K Swim (August 25) and is the first event in the Tim Kerr Charities Open Water Summer Swim Series; swimmers completing all three series events earn a Triple Crown Award.
