2026 Alpha Phi Thankful 5k Race

The race.

The Alpha Phi Thankful 5K takes place on November 8, 2026, in Charlottesville, VA. The 5K race honors two Alpha Phi members at UVA and benefits scholarships in their names: the Shelley Goldsmith Memorial Scholarship through the Jefferson Scholars Foundation for candidates from Southwest Virginia, and the Casey Schulman Foundation scholarship for Justice High School students. Participants can compete in an in-person 5K on UVA grounds or participate virtually throughout the weekend, enabling supporters nationwide to take part. All race proceeds are donated to these memorial foundations and scholarships supporting higher education access.
