The race.
The 2026 Belleville Gingerbread 5K Run/Walk takes place on December 5 in Belleville, Illinois. The 5K course runs through downtown, starting and finishing at 510 W. Main Street. A separate 1-mile Ginger Loop is available for children ages 3–12. All participants receive a long-sleeve event shirt, finish-line photos, and a gingerbread cookie. The event includes an awards ceremony, live music, refreshments including coffee and hot cocoa, and bounce houses for children. Registration during July offers the lowest rate and includes an exclusive race scarf.
