The race.
The Waterloo Library & Historical Society hosts the 2026 Bookish 5K & Cookie Fun Run on August 15 in Waterloo, NY. The 5K features a book-themed medal and T-shirt for the first 100 participants. A separate 1-mile fun run loops around the Library area and includes cake at the finish; participants receive a cake-themed medal, and children under 5 get a complimentary copy of the year's book. Entry is $35 for the 5K and $15 for the 1-mile run; children under 5 race free. Proceeds benefit the Waterloo Library & Historical Society.
