About the race
The race.
The 2026 Hellbender Hustle features a 5-mile trail run/walk on a loop around Leaser Lake in New Tripoli, PA, with courses through meadow, woodland, and streamside habitats. A separate Dragonfly Dash sprint of approximately 100 yards is offered for youth ages 12 and under. Registration opens at 8:00 am on race day, with advance registration encouraged by September 1st to secure preferred t-shirt sizes. Finishers receive a t-shirt (XS–2XL) and refreshments including drinks and snacks; a water station is located at the lake's South Ramp at the halfway point. Top finishers earn prizes, and all participants are entered into a native plant raffle. The event is held rain or shine.
