About the race
The race.
The 2026 Jared Anez Eagle Lake Race Series takes place August 1 in Willmar, Minnesota, offering a half marathon (13.1 miles, 7:00 AM start), 5K run/walk (8:15 AM start), free kids fun run for ages 10 and under (9:00 AM start with ribbons for all participants), and a 2-person bean bag tournament ($30 per team, registration by 8:00 AM race day). Half marathon and 5K participants receive race t-shirts with registration completed by July 18, and half marathon finishers earn medals and points in the Glacial Lakes Championship Running Series. The event benefits the Jared Anez Memorial Scholarship Program for high school students pursuing STEM education.
