About the race

The race.

The Lambda Theta Alpha Foundation's 8th Annual 1.975 Walk/Run takes place on Saturday, June 27, 2026, in Detroit, Michigan at the Detroit Riverwalk. The untimed 1.975-mile course begins at 7:15 AM ET, with participant check-in starting at 7:00 AM. Registration opens March 1, 2026, and closes June 26, 2026, with three tiers ranging from $25 to $100; higher tiers include an electronic bib, medal, exclusive t-shirt, and special gift on a first-come, first-served basis. Water and snacks will be provided on the course, and volunteers will be stationed along the route. All ages are welcome, and in-person or virtual participation options are available. Proceeds benefit the LTA Foundation's education and natural disaster relief initiatives.
