2026 MHRRC Dutchess County Classic

The race.

The 2026 Dutchess County Classic, held September 19–20 in the Poughkeepsie area, offers seven race options: a 1-mile kids fun run, 5K, 10K, half marathon, wheelchair half marathon, and two combination entries. The 1-mile fun run and 5K begin Saturday, September 19 at Robinson Lane Park in Wappingers Falls; the 10K and half marathon start Sunday, September 20 at 7:30 a.m. from Dutchess Community College in Poughkeepsie, utilizing the Hudson Valley Rail Trail and Walkway Over the Hudson. All courses are USATF certified. Finisher medals are awarded in the kids run, 5K, 10K, and half marathon; t-shirts go to pre-registrants (deadline August 23). Cash prizes are offered for top three overall finishers in the 5K and half marathon, plus first-place masters (age 50+) in those events. Runners must maintain a minimum 15-minute-per-mile pace; no walkers are permitted in the half marathon.
