About the race

The race.

French Creek Racing's fifth open water swimming race takes place August 4, 2026, in Norristown, PA at 1400 S. Trooper Rd. Swimmers can choose between an 800-meter or 1-mile (1600-meter) distance, with wave starts beginning at 5:00 PM and 1-mile swimmers required to start by 6:00 PM. Pre-registration closes at 9:00 AM race day; on-site registration is also available for an additional $5 fee. Series participants registered by April 4 receive a series t-shirt and custom award. Swimmers must wear a bright-colored swim cap or New Wave Swim Buoy and should arrive 30 minutes before their assigned wave time. Hand-timed results are recorded when swimmers touch the floating dock finish. No on-site restrooms or changing facilities are available.
