2026 Ride Around Kent County

The race.

The 2026 Ride Around Kent County covers 145 miles through Kent County starting and finishing in Walker, Michigan. Organized by the Rapid Wheelmen Bicycle Club, the event takes place on September 19, 2026. Shorter routes of 90 to 120 miles are available using SAG (support and gear) support. Two pace groups are offered: "Fast" averaging 18+ mph and "Good" averaging 15+ mph, with a 6 p.m. cut-off for the full 145-mile route. SAG vehicles provide support, snacks, ice, and sports drinks throughout the course, with a lunch stop at the midway point for 145-milers and sandwiches for 100-milers. Lunch options include chicken sandwiches and alternatives such as peanut butter, jelly, fruit, trail mix, and organic energy bars; riders may bring their own nutrition to be transported by SAG vehicles.
