The race.
The 2026 Thanksgiving Trail Trot takes place on November 26 in Sheffield, IL, featuring a 2-mile untimed run on wooded trails starting and finishing at Homecoming Park (West Park) at 8:00 AM. Registration fees are $20 for ages 13 and up, $10 for ages 5–12, and free for ages 4 and under. Participants who register by November 13 receive a short-sleeve t-shirt, with long-sleeve options available for an additional $3. Costume contests are held, and all ages and skill levels are welcome. Parking is available along adjacent streets or at St. Patrick's Catholic Church overflow lot.
