The race.
The 2026 U.S. National Championship, hosted by the Firefighter Challenge League, takes place September 23, 2026, in Erie, Pennsylvania. The event features tandem and relay team competitions across multiple run times throughout the day. Athletes may compete on multiple teams, with each team entry limited to two tandem and two relay team placements. Due to the cancellation of the West and Southwest Region Classic in San Diego, competitors from designated West and Southwest Region states will have their Erie results count toward both U.S. National titles and their respective regional titles and records.
