2026 Willow High School Turkey Trot

The race.

The 2026 Willow High School Turkey Trot takes place on November 24 in Fuquay Varina, NC. The USATF-certified 5K course starts and finishes on the school track, looping around campus, along the Park-Depot Greenway Trail, and through the South Lakes neighborhood. A 400-meter kids fun run and 50-meter diaper dash for ages 4 and under are held on the track. A competitive 5K option is available for runners finishing within 30 minutes, with overall awards for the top 3 finishers and age group awards for the top 2. All participants receive a medal; those registering by October 24 for the competitive or family fun 5K also receive a t-shirt. The family fun 5K includes a costume contest judged on social media. Proceeds benefit the school's cross country, track, and sports booster programs.
