The race.

The 22nd Race into the New Year 5K & 1/4 Mile Fun Dash takes place on December 31, 2026, in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware. The 5K is a 3.11-mile out-and-back course starting from the Bandstand at Rehoboth Avenue, running north on the boardwalk to Gordon's Pond at Cape Henlopen State Park. The Kids Fun Dash for ages 9 and under covers a quarter mile on the boardwalk at 11:50 a.m., while the 5K begins at noon. Packet pickup is available on December 30th from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Bandstand. Registration fees are $30 early (through December 1st), $35 pre-registration (through December 30th), or $40 race-day registration. Participants receive a t-shirt with entry. Proceeds benefit local charities in the Cape Region.
