The race.
The 3rd Annual Downers Grove Ostomy 5K takes place on Saturday, October 3, 2026, in Downers Grove, Illinois, benefiting the United Ostomy Associations of America. The 5K course loops through Birchwood Place, Lacey Road, and Woodcreek Drive, with a 10:00 a.m. start time. Registration and packet pickup occur race day from 8:30 to 9:15 a.m., with entry fees of $35 for the 5K ($40 after July 31) and $20 for children's 50-yard dash runs. Registration fee includes a t-shirt, bib, and participant swag bag. Finishers receive medals (top three overall and top three ostomates), and complimentary refreshments are provided post-race. Kids runs begin at 11:00 a.m. for ages 5 and under and 6–10, and participants may bring pets.
