About the race

The race.

The 47th Annual Night Flight takes place July 25, 2026, on the University of Southern Indiana campus in Evansville. The 4-mile run starts at 8:30 p.m. and follows campus roads and the USI-Burdette Trail, while a free kids half-mile run for ages 8 and under starts at 8 p.m. inside the Screaming Eagles Arena. Registration and packet pickup occur from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the Screaming Eagles Complex; online registration closes at 4 p.m., with same-day registration available on campus. The first 200 four-mile participants receive a shirt. Awards include trophies for the top three male and female overall finishers in the 4-mile run and medals for the top two in each of 13 age groups. All kids receive a prize. Proceeds benefit USI Athletics track and cross country programs. Registration costs $25 in advance, $20 after the first 200 registrants, or $30 on race day.
