About the race
The race.
The 48th Annual Oglesby Turkey Trot is a 3-mile run held on Thursday, November 26, 2026, starting and finishing at the Oglesby Elks Lodge at 800 East Walnut in Oglesby, IL. Packet pickup occurs Wednesday, November 25 from 4:00pm to 7:00pm, with limited race day registration from 7:00am to 8:45am. Awards are given in male and female categories across age groups from 9 and under through 75 and older. The first 900 registered participants receive a commemorative stocking cap. Finishers receive free beer (age 21+), soda, and Thanksgiving dressing. A free kids fun run for ages 12 and under follows at approximately 10:15am.
