5th Annual Purple Light Project 5K 2026

The race.

The 5th Annual Purple Light Project 5K takes place on October 3, 2026, in Hartford, Connecticut, starting at the IOL Campus at 200 Retreat Ave. Registration opens at 8:00 a.m., with a fun run for children 10 and under at 8:30 a.m. and the main 5K race beginning at 9:00 a.m. All proceeds benefit behavioral health patients through vouchers, transportation assistance, winter clothing, hygiene items, and other support services. Awards are presented to top finishers in male, female, and non-binary categories across eight age divisions ranging from 10 and under through 70 and up. Finishers receive a reusable water bottle and t-shirt, with timing and scoring provided by Fast Track Timing.
