The race.
The 9/11 Heroes Run 5K takes place in Brunswick, Maine on September 12, 2026, welcoming runners, walkers, and ruckers of all ages and fitness levels. The event honors 9/11 heroes and those who have served in the military, and supports local veterans, active duty personnel, first responders, and families of the fallen. Participants can register for a GORUCK rucking division, which involves walking or running while carrying weighted rucksacks based on special forces training methods.
