The race.
The 9/11 Heroes Run takes place September 12, 2026, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and features a 5K run/walk and a 1-mile option. Participants of all ages and fitness levels can compete in standard running divisions or the GORUCK rucking division, which involves walking or running while carrying a weighted rucksack. The event honors 9/11 heroes and supports veterans, active duty personnel, first responders, and families of the fallen. Registered GORUCK participants receive an exclusive patch.
