The race.
The 9/11 Run to Remember 5K takes place on Saturday, September 12, 2026, in downtown Cartersville, Georgia. The 5K course begins and finishes at Friendship Plaza near the Downtown Gazebo, running approximately 5 kilometers through downtown streets and past Cartersville Fire Department Station #1. The race starts at 8:00 AM following a pre-race presentation of colors at 7:55 AM. Registration costs $30 if completed by 11:00 PM Monday, September 7th, or $40 on race day. Pre-registration packet pickup occurs Friday, September 11th from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM at Big Peach Running Co. of Cartersville. Proceeds benefit the Georgia Firefighters Burn Foundation.
