The race.
A Run for the Books 5K & 1 Mile takes place July 18, 2026, in Kingsville, OH, starting at Kingsville Public Library (6006 Academy Street). The 5K run courses through Kingsville Township with a 9:00 am start; the 1-mile walk is untimed. Registration runs 8:00–8:45 am on race day ($35) or online/mail by July 17 ($30). The first 100 registered participants receive event shirts, and Kona Ice is available to all participants. The 5K awards $100 cash prizes to the top male and female finishers, plus age-group awards for the top three in 13 divisions (ages 14 and under through 70+). All proceeds benefit Friends of the Kingsville Library.
