The race.
The Ȟaȟá Wakpádaŋ Loopet Loppet takes place October 17, 2026, in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Participants can choose from several formats: a 12-hour individual event, a 6-hour individual event, or a relay team option, with each loop covering 5 miles. A 1 Loop Fun Run/Walk offers an untimed option for all ages, while the Kids Little Loopet serves children under 8. A 5K distance is also available. The course follows Ȟaȟá Wakpádaŋ (Bassett Creek) and celebrates Dakota people, land, and traditions.
