Ache Around the Lake takes place on October 10, 2026, in Tryon, NC, with races starting at the Tryon Antique Mall & Marketplace at 1005 S. Trade Street. The event features an 8K, a 2-mile run, and a 1-mile kids fun run, with start times at 8:00 am, 8:05 am, and 8:15 am respectively. A 12.4-mile distance option is also available. The 8K course covers hilly terrain with aid stations at mile 2 and around mile 4. Race-day packet pickup begins at 6:30 am in the parking lot. Post-race food and awards announcements occur at 9:30 am, with awards given by gun time across overall and age-group categories for both the 8K and 2-mile race.
