About the race
The race.
The Alameda Island Running Festival takes place September 20, 2026, in Alameda, California, featuring half marathon, 10K, 5K, 1-mile, and bundle entry options. Race start and finish are located at City Hall West (950 West Mall). Packet pickup occurs Thursday, September 17 and Friday, September 18 from 10:00am to 6:00pm at Lauren's Closet, with additional pickup Saturday 1:00pm–5:00pm and Sunday 6:30am–8:15am at the race start/finish location. Sunday events include the half marathon at 7:30am, 10K at 8:00am, and 5K at 8:15am; a Saturday 5K and 1-mile run start at 1:00pm. Water stations are positioned throughout each course. A portion of registration fees benefits the Alameda Education Foundation. The event is chip-timed and open to runners, joggers, and walkers; jogging strollers and wheelchair athletes are permitted.
