The Alaska Distance Classic takes place on August 1, 2026, in Anchorage and offers three race options: a 5K, 10K, or Double-Up combination of both distances. The event starts at Alaska Pacific University and features a course through woods surrounding the UAA and APU campuses. The 5K begins 45 minutes before the 10K, allowing Double-Up participants time to complete the 5K and start the 10K. All finishers receive special awards, and root beer floats are provided. Proceeds benefit Special Olympics Alaska.
