The race.

Alex's 5K Run/Walk & Kids' K takes place November 7, 2026, at Avondale House in Houston, Texas. The event offers a 5K run/walk and a 1K kids' race, with a virtual 5K option available. All net race profits benefit autism-based charities including Avondale House, Westview School, and Autism Speaks-Houston. Participants receive a custom finisher medal and tech shirt. Race day packet pickup runs 6:45–8 a.m., with the Kids' K starting at 8 a.m., wheelchair start at 8:25 a.m., and 5K start at 8:30 a.m. Advance registration for the 5K ranges from $30 to $40 depending on date; Kids' K registration is $15 if registered by November 6.
