The race.
The Alpine Races 5K and 10 Mile take place on August 16, 2026, in Lake Zurich, Illinois. Both courses are USATF certified and follow streets and shoreline routes through the town. Water and Gatorade stations are positioned along the courses. The 10 Mile run is designated a 2026 CARA Racing Circuit Race. A 3-hour course time limit applies. Races proceed regardless of weather conditions unless lightning or severe weather necessitates delay or cancellation, with updates communicated via email before race day and announcements on race morning.
