The race.
American Legion Post 491 hosts a 5K run and 2-mile walk on Saturday, September 12, 2026, beginning at 9:00 AM along the Katy Trail starting from the Green Ridge Trailhead in Green Ridge, Missouri. Race day packet pickup runs from 7:00 AM at 205 N. Main Street, Green Ridge, MO 65332. Pets and strollers are permitted. Finishers receive biscuits and gravy, and the event coincides with the Salute to Veterans Craft Festival featuring over 50 vendors and food trucks, plus an afternoon live music performance.
