The race.
The Americana YMCA Splash and Dash takes place August 16, 2026, in Zachary, Louisiana, featuring combined swimming and running events in distances of 1, 1.5, 2, and 3 miles. The event is open to children ages 3–18 competing individually or in two-person teams with one swimmer and one runner. Medals are awarded to first and second place finishers in each age division. All participants receive a medal; T-shirts are available for those registered by August 13, 2025. The event will not be rescheduled; cancellation may occur the morning of the race if thunder or lightning is present in the area.
