Annual Running of the Lights 2026

The race.

The Annual Running of the Lights takes place December 8, 2026, in Mishawaka, Indiana, featuring a guided tour through Winding Brook Park's holiday light displays. Three route options are available: 3.9 miles, 3.4 miles, and 1.4 miles. Participants check in at Walt Disney Elementary School (4015 Filbert Road) and receive a required safety light to wear throughout the event. The run ends at the starting point to allow safe crossing back to vehicles. A minimum $5 donation per runner is suggested to support local charities; Fleet Feet Mishawaka is pledging $1,000 toward a $2,000 donation goal. Runners are also encouraged to bring stuffed teddy bears for distribution to a local nonprofit serving children.
