Big Brothers Big Sisters 5K 2026

The race.

The Big Brothers Big Sisters 5K takes place September 5, 2026, at Lorain County Community College in Elyria, Ohio, benefiting Big Brothers Big Sisters of Lorain County. Two distances are offered: a 5K run or walk and a 1-mile walk, both starting at 9:00 a.m. The 5K features chip timing via MyLaps; the 1-mile walk is untimed. Registration and packet pickup occur from 8:00 a.m. at the Physical Education Building, with race-day registration available for $35 (pre-registration $30). Awards go to the overall top male and female finishers in the 5K and to top three finishers in eight age groups (14 & Under through 50 & Over). All participants receive a commemorative race t-shirt and post-race refreshments. Early packet pickup is available Friday, September 4, from 4:00–6:00 p.m. at Big Brothers Big Sisters of Lorain County. Mail-in registration deadline is Wednesday, September 3.
