The race.
The Birchleggings Club Third Annual Dakota Trail Bicycle Ride takes place August 13, 2026, in the Lester Prairie, Minnesota area. Riders choose from four distances—57, 38, 29, or 13 miles—on a paved rail trail, with different starting points in Wayzata, Mound, St. Bonifacius, or Mayer. All routes converge in Lester Prairie for lunch at the Central Café, which accepts cash only. The trail passes through Hennepin and Carver counties and goes past Lake Minnetonka and Lake Waconia.
