The Black Cat Chase 3K, presented by Frankfort Regional Medical Center, takes place October 23, 2026, at 7 p.m. in Downtown Frankfort, Kentucky, with the start and finish at the Old Capitol lawn. The 3-kilometer course has been modified to accommodate traffic patterns. Registration fees range from $25 to $40 depending on registration date. Awards go to the top five overall finishers by gender, top three in each age division (10 and under through 80+), and top three teams with a minimum of five runners. Race bibs and costume contest entries are available, with a costume parade preceding the event. Proceeds benefit the YMCA's Annual Giving Campaign to support local children and families.
