Black Squirrel Half Marathon 2026

The race.

The Black Squirrel Half Marathon takes place September 12, 2026, in Bellvue, Colorado, at Lory State Park. The 13.1-mile trail course covers predominantly singletrack with one mile of dirt road, gaining approximately 2,000 feet of elevation across terrain ranging from 5,400 to 7,000 feet. Registration opens December 15 with tiered pricing through September 4. Finishers receive a gender-specific race shirt, pint glass award, age group awards, and post-race pancake breakfast with vegetarian and dietary accommodations. A 5.5-hour time allowance applies, and professional medical coverage is provided. Packet pickup is available, and free park entry is included with registration.
