Blacktail Climb 2026

The race.

The Blacktail Climb takes place October 3, 2026, in Lakeside, Montana, featuring three cycling options: a 13.5-mile summit race with 3,000 feet of elevation on mixed pavement and gravel; a 6.2-mile 10K race with 1,500 feet of elevation on mostly paved terrain; and an e-bike fun ride starting later in the day. Summit race and 10K participants receive chip timing, race shirt, finisher medal, and a descent shuttle; both routes include summit snacks and a free beer ticket. The e-bike ride offers an uncompetitive option with photo stops and cider sampling. A portion of proceeds benefits Blacktail QRU. An after-party follows at Tamarack Brewing Company with local food, music, and vendors.
