The Bob Cook Memorial Blue Sky Hill Climb is a 27-mile ride starting in Idaho Springs, Colorado, and ascending 6,700 feet to the summit of Mt. Blue Sky at 14,130 feet elevation. The event honors Bob Cook, a U.S. Olympian and record holder who died of brain cancer at age 23. Participants ride on a closed road for the duration of the event. The Hill Climb has been held since 1962.
