About the race
The race.
Book It for the Olive Free Library 5K Run/Walk takes place September 5, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. at Ashokan Reservoir Promenade in Olivebridge, NY. The 5K course is mostly flat with one uphill section at the start and runs largely on traffic-closed roads. Overall awards and age-group awards (top three finishers in 10-year categories) will be given, plus a best costume award. Participants registering before August 19 receive a T-shirt; children under 10 are free but do not receive a shirt. Water stops and post-race refreshments are provided. Day-of registration begins at 8:00 a.m. for $35. Parking is at Brown's Station with carpooling encouraged.
