About the race
The race.
BookSmiles 5K & 1 Mile Walk for Literacy takes place October 11, 2026, at Cooper River Park in Pennsauken, NJ, benefiting literacy. The certified 5K course is flat; the 1-mile option is also available for walkers and runners. Both events start at 9:00 AM with check-in at 7:45 AM at 510 Park Blvd, Cherry Hill, NJ. Finishers receive a T-shirt and are eligible for age group and overall awards, with cash prizes for the top three male and female finishers in the 5K. Chip timing, HD finish line video, and text message notifications are provided. Optional packet pickup is available Friday, October 9th.
