Bootleg Marathon 2026

The race.

The Bootleg Marathon & Half Marathon takes place September 6, 2026, in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. Two distances are offered: a 13.1-mile half marathon and a 26.2-mile marathon. The race starts at 5:30 a.m. with packet pickup on race day from 4:45 a.m. to 5:15 a.m. The marathon follows an out-and-back route on Oak Ridge Turnpike with less than 600 feet of elevation gain, while the half marathon is a point-to-point course with less than 400 feet of elevation gain; both courses are USATF certified. Water and aid stops are provided at specified mile markers. No race shirts, awards, or finish-line amenities are offered. Participation is capped at 50 runners, with course time limits of 4 hours for the marathon and 2 hours for the half marathon.
