The race.
The Bootlegger 5K takes place September 5, 2026, in Montgomery, Indiana, starting at 9:00 AM Eastern Time (8:00 AM Central) at McCracken Curve Distillery. Participants run an out-and-back 5K course through Daviess County countryside on open roads with traffic. Registration costs $35 and includes a short-sleeve cotton t-shirt and finisher medal, with a $30 medal-only option available. Race day check-in runs from 8:00–8:45 AM Eastern (7:00–7:45 AM Central), with no early packet pickup. The top 3 male and top 3 female finishers receive prizes. This is an unofficial fun run with no official timing, and the event proceeds rain or shine unless severe weather causes a delay.
