Brightstar Downtown 5K 2026

The race.

The Brightstar Downtown 5K takes place Sunday, September 13, 2026, in Providence, Rhode Island, organized by Run Rhody. The main 5K race starts at 10:00 a.m. from Memorial Boulevard, with youth races (100 yards for ages 1–5 and 1/4 mile for ages 6–10) beginning at 9:00 a.m. Chip timing is used throughout. All entrants receive t-shirts. Awards are given to the top 3 overall finishers and winners in age groups ranging from under 19 to 90+, as well as to winning family/friends and corporate teams. Packet pickup is available Friday, September 11 (noon–6:00 p.m.), Saturday, September 12 (10:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.), and race morning at Marathon Sports in Providence Place. Online entry closes September 12 at 8:00 p.m. A virtual 5K option is also available.
