Capital City Kids Triathlon 2026

The race.

The Capital City Kids Triathlon takes place August 22, 2026, at Hawk Island Park in Lansing, Michigan, for children 14 and under. Three age divisions offer scaled distances: ages 6 and under complete a 25-meter swim, 100-meter bike, and 100-meter run; ages 10 and under swim 100 meters, bike 3 miles, and run 0.5 miles; ages 14 and under swim 200 meters, bike 4.5 miles, and run 1 mile. The swim occurs in Hawk Island Park's designated area where swimmers can touch bottom with lifeguards on duty. Registration is determined by the child's age as of December 31, 2026. All participants receive USA Triathlon Youth Annual Membership, race timing, a race T-shirt, finisher medal, swag bag, race photographs for download, and post-race snacks.
